UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES

The boys are doing pretty well. Jordan is pictured top left and Jaxon is pictured bottom right. Jaxon is now 5 pounds and Jordan is 4 pounds 6 ounces. They are both taking 2 of their 8 feeds by bottle. Jaxon has temporarily been taken off of his feeds just to make sure that he does not have an infection. If things turn out like that suspect they will he will be placed back on his feeds today.

A question that we have been asked quite a bit is “Have the doctor’s said when they can come home?” Well, one of the indicators is that they have to take all 8 of their feeds by mouth. As mentioned earlier, they are currently taking 2 of their 8 feeds so in that sense things are going pretty well.

Also, Jordan and Jaxon have been doing a great job being weaned down on their oxygen. Yesterday, Jaxon was on 25 ccs of oxygen and doing fine and Jordan was on 50 ccs. They started off on 200 ccs when they moved to nasal canula.

We’d like to thank everyone for their continued prayers again. It’s amazing the power that prayer has. Please continue to pray for the boys. Also, if you could, please pray for baby Samantha as well.

Since we have moved to Level II, we have met another family who is in the same situation we are. Their children were born at 23 weeks. Baby Noah is at home, but has some vision problems. Baby Samantha will has vision problems as well and is still in the hospital. They were born in January and Noah just got to go home two weeks ago. This has been really hard on the family I’m sure. They have been unable to hold Samantha because she had to have a procedure done to deal with her IVH. Evidently, the outlook for her IVH was not as optimistic as Jaxon’s. Please pray for Baby Samantha and Baby Noah during this difficult time.

Thank you, THANK YOU for the updated photos! They are changing so rapidly (which is good!) that I can't keep up. They are SO precious and I know this time is in some ways even harder since they are so close to being able to come home yet have a "to-do" list before they'll be released. In that home stretch though, in the home stretch.

We'll be praying for Samantha and Noah. We had a friend in England who had their baby very early (about 25 weeks like you although it was a single birth) and he did have and will continue to have eye issues like Noah and Sam - they even came to a specialist in Michigan to have surgeries to correct as much as they could (one retina totally detached, the other one loose) spending about 3 months here for all those procedures. He's a hale and hearty lad of almost 2 now but I do remember their "long and winding road" to get there and their journey of faith.

Love you guys.

They have changed so much! They look terrific. You are definitely coming down the home stretch now! Isn't it wonderful to be able to feed them and all of that? We just relished every opportunity that we had to do for Molly - feed her, bathe her, change her diaper, etc. It made us feel like "real" parents - OK, that's silly but you know what I mean maybe. Then we took her home and went right back to arguing over whose turn it was to change the diaper, just like we did with the other two!

I'm sorry I missed your shower - we've had illness, and I didn't figure you needed any of my kids' germs at this point.

Yay for baby pics!!! Seeing them just makes me want to snuggle them up for a good cuddle! I am so thankful things continue to go well! In the meantime you can show them pics of everything from the shower since they won't be able to see it for a while yet. ;)

Love you guys!
